In August 2025, the NASA Exchange-JSC Starport had the pleasure of awarding four deserving students with the 2025 JSC NASA Scholarship Award. Each student was awarded the financial support of a $4,000 scholarship to be used towards tuition, books, room and board, or other expenses that can accrue when entering college.

Funding proceeds for the JSC Scholarship Program are derived directly from the Annual NASA Golf Tournament held each spring. For over 15 years, the NASA Golf Tournament has provided financial assistance for JSC civil servants and Starport Partner employee dependents. Applicants are evaluated based on academic achievement, financial need, school involvement and/or community activities.

In addition to the NASA Golf Tournament, the NASA Alumni League has also provided generous donations over the years which Starport applies to the scholarship.

Congratulations to this year’s scholarship winners!

Starport maintains a college scholarship fund to provide financial assistance for dependents of JSC civil servants or reimbursable detailees and dependents of JSC Starport Partners to attend college.

Starport intends to award two scholarships – one for dependents of civil service employees and one for the dependents of Starport Partner employees.  Applicants are evaluated on the basis of academic achievement, financial need, and involvement in school or community activities.  The scholarship winners may pursue any course of study leading to a recognized degree at any accredited college in the country.

Individual one-time only scholarships of up to $4000 are given in the amount of $2000 per academic semester or as determined by Starport.
