Member Experience & Operations Coordinator

Reports to: Hospitality Manager
Pay: $16.00 – $17.00/hour
Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Position Overview

The Member Experience & Operations Coordinator serves as a versatile support team member responsible for assisting with a wide variety of operational, customer service, hospitality, and employee engagement functions across Starport. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in dynamic environments, and takes pride in stepping in wherever support is needed most.

No two days will look the same. The ideal candidate is adaptable, proactive, customer-focused, and excited to contribute to Starport’s mission through a diverse range of responsibilities and experiences.

This is a trial position that will be evaluated over the next 6–12 months based on organizational needs. Duties and assignments may evolve over time, and the incumbent may be reassigned to other operational areas without further competition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with a broad range of Starport operational needs, including:
    • Scheduling reservations
    • Assisting with room setups and event preparation
    • Supporting Member Services customer support operations
    • Assisting retail operations
    • Providing administrative support
    • Supporting employee engagement activities and special events
  • Serve as a flexible “fill-in” resource across multiple Starport functions as operational needs arise
  • Identify inefficiencies and proactively recommend or implement process improvements
  • Assist with administrative functions such as filing, organizing, tracking, and archiving records
  • Ensure smooth task transitions and continuity when handing off assignments or supporting multiple teams
  • Support food service operations as needed, including coordination of catering orders, vendor communication, and event food service logistics
  • Represent Starport at employee engagement and outreach events
  • Capture photographic documentation of programs, activities, and special events
  • Provide support throughout the year for programs and initiatives including, but not limited to:
    • Memorial Tree Program
    • NASA Clubs
    • Employee Discount Program
    • Honey Baked Ham Program
    • Reconnection Hours
    • After-hours events
    • Bartending support
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support Starport operations and organizational success

Scheduling Expectations

Typical work will be performed during normal business hours, Monday – Friday, however, work schedules may vary based on operational and event needs. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with a flexible schedule that may occasionally include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or after-hours support. Advance notice will be provided.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, climb, crawl, push, and pull for extended periods as needed
  • Ability to support event setup and operational activities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License
