NASA AGENCY BUDGET MATERIAL – NASA CENTERS AND FACILITIES – NASA DIRECTORATES – OFFICES AND ADVISORY GROUPS – OTHER SOURCES

This page is a list of links to scanned documents that are vital to understanding how NASA functions and its role in the federal government. Many of them are internally generated unclassified documents available in the library in hardcopy, but are difficult to find elsewhere. Other policy documents, such as the Aeronautics and Space Report of the President, can be found on the website of the NASA History Division.

This page is a work in progress. It will be updated as new series of documents will be added. Strategic plans, performance reports, implementation plans, and white papers on the center and directorate levels are candidates for addition to this page. Applicable contractor reports and interagency reports are also on this page, listed by the directorate to which the report would apply. For instance, a report on commercial use of the International Space Station would be found under the header of the Space Operations Mission Directorate, and an interagency strategic plan for space weather would be found under the header of the Science Mission Directorate.

NASA Headquarters employees can request additional materials or research on this topic. The Library welcomes your comments or suggestions about this webpage.

NASA Agency Budget Materials

A budget estimate is the amount requested from Congress by NASA for that financial year. These requests also act as the agency’s annual report to Congress and the American people. Current budget documents and links to recent budget estimates can be found at the Budget Documents Information page. Digital PDF copies of NASA and NACA Budget Estimates and Budget Requests 1956 – 2001 may be requested through the NASA History Division. Please email the History Division at hq-histinfo@nasa.gov.
