Expedition 35

Occurred 11 years ago

The Expedition 35 crew space explored radiation's effect on stem cells and scanned their spines with an ultrasound device to identify the anatomical risks of microgravity. The crewmates also explored how fluids containing particles respond to magnetic fields. Students competed to control tiny satellites called SPHERES and a new payload imaged oceanic coastal areas to identify water quality.
