NASA Safety Center – Our People
The NASA Safety Center (NSC) is part of NASA’s Office of Safety and Mission Assurance and supports the Safety and Mission Assurance (SMA) requirements of NASA’s portfolio of programs and projects. We focus on improving the development of the personnel, processes and tools needed for the safe and successful achievement of NASA’s strategic goals.
Harmony Myers, Director
Harmony Myers is the director of the NASA Safety Center (NSC), hosted by NASA Glenn Research Center at Lewis Field in Cleveland, Ohio. In this capacity, Myers leads the agency’s support of Safety and Mission Assurance (SMA) organizations at each of the field centers in three areas: technical excellence, knowledge sharing and analysis, and assessments and investigations. The NSC is comprised of approximately 70 civil servant and support service contractors.
Robert Conway, Deputy Director
Capt. Robert Conway (U.S. Navy, retired) is the deputy director of the NASA Safety Center (NSC), located at NASA Glenn Research Center. In this position, he works with the director to enable more effective and efficient Safety and Mission Assurance support for NASA’s portfolio of programs and projects by managing the NSC’s activities in knowledge sharing and analysis, technical excellence, and assessments and investigations.
