The NASA Safety Center (NSC) manages the Institutional Safety discipline areas across the NASA enterprise and helps identify and mitigate Institutional Safety risks.
Subject Matter Expert Guidance
The NSC provides supervision and Subject Matter Expert guidance in these discipline areas: Aviation Safety; Electrical Safety; Explosives and Pyrotechnics Safety; Facility Safety Management; Fire Protection; Lifting Devices and Equipment; Occupational Safety and Health; and Pressure Systems.
The NSC also provides Institutional Safety policy, technical assessment and oversight to protect the public, NASA workforce and high-value assets.
