Engine Testing

Hot fire of a propulsion engine.
The propulsion engines of the unmanned Cassini spacecraft were tested at our facility
NASA WSTF

Routinely on the cutting edge of propulsion testing and development, our team is skilled in the different aspects of engine testing including the engine, its components, propellant and aerospace fluids, engineering, and certification requirements. We can also assist in the development of new propulsion technologies, standards, services, protocols, and best practices.

Testing
With both ambient and vacuum test stands available, we test over a wide range of conditions to complete routine testing. We can also develop custom processes and infrastructure to capture performance data to meet your needs. Performance measurements include:

  • Temperature,
  • Vacuum thrust,
  • Mass flow rate,
  • Propellant pressure, and
  • Standardized performance parameter calculation for comparison to nominal engine performance.
