Help Build the Moon Base
The Moon Base represents one of the most ambitious engineering and exploration efforts in human history — and it cannot be achieved alone. NASA is partnering with commercial industry, academia, and innovators around the world to develop the technologies, infrastructure, and capabilities needed to establish an enduring human presence on the Moon. The future of lunar exploration will be built through collaboration, and NASA invites the global community to help shape what comes next.
Lunar Surface Technologies
NASA is accepting innovative proposals to advance the technologies and infrastructure needed for an enduring human presence on the Moon. The agency is seeking technology development, risk-reduction activities, and ground-based testing to help close critical gaps and mature capabilities needed for future lunar surface missions. The solicitation focuses on five key areas: vertical solar arrays for surface power, oxygen production from lunar regolith, radioisotope power generation, in-space manufacturing, and advanced nanomaterials production. These efforts will help accelerate critical technologies needed to support Moon Base and long-term exploration of the lunar surface.
