Test Technology’s known temperature measurement techniques are capable of providing different forms of information. New information and new usages that come from existing techniques may result in system improvements for both research and design.
Similar to pressure measurements, temperature measurements are often indirectly used to calculate other flow properties. Flow properties that may be determined from temperature measurements include:
- Fluid density
- Speed of sound
- Fluid viscosity
- Boundary-layer characteristics (laminar/turbulent
