Previous Years’ Budget Requests
Editor’s note: The federal fiscal year runs from Oct. 1 through Sept. 30 of the following calendar year. Fiscal year 2022, for example, began on Oct. 1, 2021, and ended on Sept. 30, 2022. Federal agencies’ budget requests are generally published by the White House Office of Management and Budget in the winter or spring preceding the start of the fiscal year.
