Expedition 20
The Expedition 19 and 20 crews studied space-caused bone loss and cardiac atrophy, ways to monitor immune system changes, and nutrition for staying healthy in microgravity. New station hardware was installed to detect air contamination and observe the space environment's affect on different materials. Japan's HTV-1 Kuonotori cargo craft launched to the station for the first time.
