NASA astronauts, engineers and scientists will visit the greater Boston area July 7-11, 2015, to share the accomplishments, promise and opportunities for research aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
ISS veteran astronauts Cady Coleman, Sunita Williams, and Karen Nyberg will share their stories about life working and living in space. ISS scientist Kirt Costello, spacesuit systems engineer Su Curley, and Center for Advancement of Science in Space’s (CASIS) Director of Business Development Cynthia Bouthot will also participate.
On July 7 and 8, NASA will participate in the ISS Research and Development Conference. NASA’s Driven to Explore exhibit will be available for public viewing at Copley Square Park from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. EST each day.
On July 9, Williams will participate in events at the New England Aquarium, and the NASA Driven to Explore exhibit will be available from 9 a.m.-3 p.m at the aquarium complex. On July 10, visitors to both the Museum of Science and Northeastern University will have the opportunity to learn about NASA. The Driven to Explore exhibit will be at Northeastern’s campus from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Meanwhile, at the Museum of Science from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., visitors may meet Nyberg and learn about spacesuit design and about the experiments taking place aboard the ISS.
