Phillip B. Hall – NESC Academy Biogrpaphy
Phil Hall has over 20 years of experience at NASA, and in his current role, he is a Team Lead for the Systems Engineering Branch of the Space Systems Department. In this role he leads a team, he manages systems engineers that support various small projects that includes Cube-Sats, SLS secondary payloads, and experiments on ISS. Prior to this position he was the Lead Systems Engineer on the 3D Print Project for the 3D printer now on ISS. He was also the MSFC representative to the Agency Systems Engineering Working Group (SEWG) which included leading the effort to bring HQ systems engineering policy to MSFC and updating existing policy. In previous duties he worked with the NESC running independent assessments on critical safety issues and becoming the Deputy Discipline Expert on Mechanical Systems.
Mr. Hall joined NASA/MSFC in 1989 in the Tribology Branch, where he researched, developed, and tested new lubricants for space systems which resulted in receiving two patents. He has received numerous awards to include the MSFC Engineers Director’s Award, the NESC Engineering Excellence Award, and the Agency Systems Engineering Excellence Award.
