Director, Mission Alignment and Integration Office, NASA's Human Spaceflight Mission Directorate

Diana Oglesby serves as director of the Mission Alignment and Integration Office within NASA’s Human Spaceflight Mission Directorate at NASA Headquarters in Washington. In this role, she leads the integration and advancement of directorate goals and objectives, policies, center capabilities, and stakeholder engagement strategies necessary to optimize and align the directorate’s enterprise. 

Previously, Oglesby was director of the Strategic Integration and Management Division within the Space Operations Mission Directorate. She oversaw programmatic integration, performance measurement, acquisition strategy processes, stakeholder outreach, and a wide range of personnel and administrative functions.  

Before that, Oglesby served as manager of program control and integration for NASA’s Commercial Crew Office, where she worked with industry partners to develop and operate safe, reliable, and cost-effective human spaceflight capabilities for accessing low Earth orbit. She supportedthe execution of the agency’s effort to develop and certify U.S. commercial crew transportation systems capable of carrying humans to and from the International Space Station and the successful return of U.S. human spaceflight capability following the retirement of the Space Shuttle Program. Her responsibilities included budget planning and execution, resources and schedule management, contract management, strategic communication and public engagement, IT architecture, and configuration and data management. She also completed a six-month detail assignment at NASA Headquarters as the deputy director of the Resources Management Office for the Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate and Space Operations Mission Directorate, helping to oversee formulation and execution of NASA’s $12 billion exploration and space operations budget.  

Oglesby began her NASA career in 2003 as a computer engineer supporting the IT and Communications Services Directorate and Center Chief Information Officer at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, holding leadership positions in IT security and software development. She later served as NASA Kennedy’s application portfolio manager, championing software initiatives and delivered noteworthy contributions to improve the effectiveness of legacy software applications. She also led several strategic acquisition initiatives, including the crucial Source Evaluation Board for the major IT and communications support at Kennedy.  

NASA has recognized her contributions with numerous citations and awards. 

Oglesby earned a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma Christian University and a master’s degree in software engineering from Florida Institute of Technology.
