Revitalization Initiative
As part of our revitalization initiative, we transformed the Mentor‑Protégé Agreement (MPA) application process into a single, unified package that replaces multiple legacy forms, templates, and reports. By consolidating all requirements, definitions, instructions, and data entry into one comprehensive document, we removed unnecessary duplication and reduced administrative burden. This streamlined format simplifies preparation, minimizes paperwork, and supports our goal of approving agreements in less than 30 days — allowing participants to focus on developing meaningful mentor‑protégé partnerships rather than navigating complex workflows.
We also redesigned the structure of the application to improve clarity and usability. Reporting appendices are now embedded directly within the unified document, and auto‑population of totals reduces manual work. Clear definitions, explicit eligibility references, measurable end‑state guidance, and integrated baseline and post‑award reporting all eliminate the need to interpret policy across multiple sources. By centralizing these elements and standardizing how information is captured, we’ve created a more intuitive, needs‑based process that supports mentors and protégés while ensuring consistent, accurate submissions from the start.
