Center Mission
NASA Shared Services Center’s (NSSC) mission is to provide to provide timely, accurate, high-quality, cost-effective and customer-focused support for selected NASA business and technical services.
Located at John C. Stennis Space Center (SSC), the NSSC reports to the NASA Headquarters Mission Support Directorate (MSD). The NSSC serves as a major Agencywide service resource that enables the NASA mission by saving taxpayer dollars to maximize efficiency and minimize costs, while increasing automation to move forward with NASA’s important work., The NSSC provides more than 60 business activities to 10 NASA Centers. To increase operational efficiency and improve overall customer service, the NSSC performs a variety of activities in the areas of Financial Management, Procurement, Human Resources, Enterprise Services, and Agency Business Support. By achieving synergy within and across functions, the NSSC reduces resource requirements for institutional support areas and positions NASA for further business process improvements and innovations.
