Center Mission

Marshall Space Flight Center’s mission is to explore and execute innovative, effective, and efficient acquisition business solutions to optimize capabilities and operations that enable MSFC and NASA’s missions.

For more than six decades, NASA and the nation have relied on Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, to deliver its most vital propulsion systems and hardware, flagship launch vehicles, world-class space systems, state-of-the-art engineering technologies, and cutting-edge science and research projects and solutions.

Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) serves as a systems developer and integrator for exploration and science missions. It advances Agency priorities with its full life-cycle engineering capabilities, developing and integrating human and scientific space flight systems from concept to development to operation. The Center’s work in advanced materials and manufacturing processes and scientific research in specialized areas rounds out its portfolio.
