The Resources Management Division (RMD) manages, initiates, and implements the institutional resources of the organization’s budget, human resources, training, information technology, facilities, continuity of operations, audits, directives and performance management.

RMD manages the Agency-wide contract for verbal interpretation and written translation services, and for processing visa for NASA travelers to Russia.

RMD is responsible for organizing, directing, and coordinating protocol activities related to high-level international visits. RMD establishes suitable policies and approaches for special protocol events and ensures that international guests are properly coordinated in the NASA system.

RMD provides oversight responsibilities for operations and policy initiatives in the overseas offices and provides administrative support to NASA’s overseas representatives and the U.S. Air Force Space Command liaison. RMD serves as the liaison to the Department of State pertaining to overseas staffing, security, facilities, the International Cooperative Administrative Support Services interagency group, and the Capital Security Cost Sharing interagency group.
