The Soyuz rocket will launch the trio to the International Space Station on Wednesday, March 29, 2006. Vinogradov and Williams will begin a six-month stay on the orbital outpost, replacing the Expedition 12 crew – Commander Bill McArthur and Flight Engineer Valery Tokarev.
