APPEL Knowledge Services: Critical Knowledge and Learning for NASA’s Technical Workforce

APPEL Knowledge Services unites the award-winning curriculum and career development tools from the Office of the Chief Engineer’s Academy of Program/Project & Engineering Leadership (APPEL) with the critical knowledge sharing and knowledge management capabilities of the Chief Knowledge Officer (CKO) to create a comprehensive, knowledge-dedicated resource for NASA.  Through robust course offerings, webinars, and workshops, APPEL provides critical learning for project managers, engineers, and practitioners across the agency. Interactive tools and hands-on development programs support career growth, while innovative knowledge-sharing initiatives ensure that NASA’s workforce can access and apply essential insights and lessons learned when they’re needed most.

Since NASA’s founding in 1958, a highly skilled technical workforce has been central to the agency’s ability to explore space, answer questions about our solar system, and push the envelope of aeronautics. Over the decades, internal research and external studies have consistently underscored the importance of capturing lessons learned and applying proven best practices to ensure mission success.  Through a seamless integration of learning and development, knowledge management, and educational resources, APPEL Knowledge Services helps equip NASA’s technical workforce with the skills and wisdom required to drive mission success.
