SIMO
The Spaceport Infrastructure, Maintenance, and Operations (SIMO) contract is NASA Kennedy Space Center's planned follow-on acquisition to the current Base Operations and Spaceport Services (BOSS) contract. SIMO will provide facility, infrastructure, utility, logistics, and technical support services across Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station under a fixed-price contract beginning no earlier than April 2027. A major change from previous contracts is that NASA will retain responsibility for engineering, system analysis, corrective actions, and spaceport integration activities, while the contractor will focus on maintenance, operations, logistics, and support services. NASA will also directly manage scheduling, outage coordination, infrastructure impacts, customer communications, transportation integration, and construction support activities. The contract is expected to support more than 30 government and commercial customers across approximately 220 square miles of KSC and CCSFS facilities. NASA is currently seeking industry feedback from both large and small businesses to help determine the acquisition strategy and potential small business participation opportunities. The solicitation is categorized under NAICS 561210 (Facilities Support Services) with a small business size standard of $47 million in annual revenue.
