Commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Destination Contract (CLDC)

UPDATE 6/4/2026: NASA plans to provide a DRFP mid to late summer. In the spirit of learning from past pro-grammatic challenges and ensuring a responsible transition from the International Space Station, NASA evaluated both the current commercial space station approach and alter-native pathways. Industry has provided extensive feedback making the case for a sustainable commercial market in which NASA is one customer among many, along with assurances regarding available transportation capabilities. The industry position will now shape the path onward as NASA proceeds with the original commercial strategy.

This CLDC website and related announcements in www.sam.gov will remain accessible for reference purposes.  In addition, NASA will continue to provide technical documents in the CLDC Technical Library site to keep industry up to date on current NASA technical standards that may be relevant to a future acquisition. Please continue to monitor www.sam.gov postings and the Acquisition Website for updates on the release of any CLDC information.
