Human Research Multilateral Review Board (HRMRB)
The HRMRB was established to ensure that research involving human subjects on the International Space Station (ISS) will not endanger the health, safety, or well-being of the subjects, and further, that all experiment operations are conducted in an ethical manner.

Director of the OCHMO Office of Research Assurance and Chair of the NASA IRB
Marisa Covington
Dr. Covington is the Director of the Office of Research Assurance (ORA) within the Office of the Chief Health and Medical Office (OCHMO). Her responsibilities include ensuring that human and animal research is done ethically at all NASA centers and on ISS. She also provides education and compliance of research ethics and regulatory practices for staff, investigators, research volunteers, and international partners.
