ISS01-E-5009 (November 2000) --- Cosmonaut Sergei K. Krikalev (foreground), flight engineer, works with cameras in the service module (Zvezda) on the International Space Station, while astronaut William M. (Bill) Shepherd, Expedition 1 commander, busily goes about chores in the background. The photograph was taken by cosmonaut Yuri P. Gidzenko, Soyuz commander, using an electronic still camera (ESC). This was one of the first still pictures to be downlinked from the station since the Expedition 1 crew boarded it earlier in the week.
