TEL Tests Complete at Pad 0A

Orbital ATK’s Transporter, Erector, Launcher (TEL) for the Antares launch vehicle is raised on the Virginia Space Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport’s Pad 0A at NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility. The TEL was at the pad Feb. 10 – 12. After the roll-out from the NASA Horizontal Integration Facility, the TEL was subjected to an extensive series of tests to validate the operability of the upgraded hydraulic system. The hydraulic system is used to raise the TEL with the Antares vehicle onto the pad and into the launch position.
