Radio image of the Milky Way galactic plane at a frequency of 2695 MHz. The W49 interstellar cloud complex is the bright radio source in the direction of the “summer triangle” constellation Aquila. W49 is a region of massive star formation in our galaxy at a distance of approximately 30,000 light years, completely obscured by interstellar dust at visual wavelengths.May 2012
