In Spacecraft Assembly and Encapsulation Facility-2, Jet Propulsion Laboratory workers begin closing the metal “petals” of the Mars Pathfinder lander. Named for abolitionist and pioneering women’s rights activist Sojourner Truth, the Sojourner rover is visible on one of the three petals.
