Glenn and his spacecraft were recovered by the destroyer Noa just 21 minutes after landing in the Atlantic.

Glenn and his spacecraft were recovered by the destroyer Noa just 21 minutes after landing in the Atlantic near Grand Turk Island, to successfully complete the nation’s first manned orbital flight.
