Carole C. Valenti, emergency management director and continuity-of-operations coordinator at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., has received a Federal Women’s Program Outstanding Achievement Award from the Marshall Center. Valenti, a native of Hartselle, Ala., works to ensure center operations continue in the event of a natural emergency or other crises. She has served in her current posts — part of Marshall’s Office of Center Operations — since 2010. The Federal Women’s Program honor, which commemorates Women’s Equality Day, recognizes outstanding achievement and exceptional service to the Marshall Center and to NASA’s mission.
