Rhega Gordon has been appointed deputy of the Office of the Chief Financial Officer at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala. In this role, she assists the chief financial officer with oversight and administration of all integrated Marshall Center and NASA financial management systems. She received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 1991, and began her NASA career that year as a mission operations engineer supporting the International Space Station. She has received numerous awards during her NASA career, most recently a NASA Exceptional Service Medal in 2012. A native of Athens, Ala., Gordon lives in Madison, Ala., with her husband, Orlando “Fritz” Gordon, and their two children.
