ISS On-Orbit Status Report

ISS Daily Summary Report – 6/12/2024

Boeing CST-100 Crewed Flight Test (CFT): Today, the CFT crew completed various science and maintenance activities in support of the ISS. The crew performed a Node 2 Stowage Audit, an Expedite the Processing of Experiments to Space Station (ExPRESS) Logistics Carrier 1 (ELC-1) Shell Swap, a Waste and Hygiene Compartment (WHC) Urine Receptacle (UR) and Insert Filter (IF) Remove and Replace (R&R), a Radio Frequency Group (RFG) Handling Big Picture Words Review, and Genes in Space Molecular Operations and Sequencing (GiSMOS) operations.

Payloads:

Environmental Health System (EHS) Exploration Potable Water Dispenser (xPWD): Visual analysis of Coliform detection bags was conducted after 44 hours of incubation. More information on this experiment can be found here.

GiSMOS: Flow Cell sample Serial Number (S/N)-101 was retrieved from cold stowage and processed using the MiniPCR DNA Sequencer to identify bacteria and fungi properties. More information on this experiment can be found here.

Sleep in Orbit: The crew concluded Tuesday night’s science session, transferred the experiment data, and stowed the hardware. More information on the Sleep in Orbit experiment can be found here.

Space Tissue Equivalent Dosimeter (SpaceTED): The crew removed the memory card from the SpaceTED, and transferred the science data to a Station Support Computer (SSC). More information on this experiment can be found here.

Systems:

Extravehicular Activity (EVA) Preparation Operations: The crew performed various activities in preparation for the three upcoming EVAs in June. They completed an EVA Equipment Lock (E-LK) Preparation, EVA Tool Configuring, an EVA Tool Audit, and an EVA Procedure Review & Conference. These activities are in preparation for the upcoming RFG Retrieval Part 2.5 EVA, CP9 External High-Definition Camera (EHDC) R&R EVA, and ISS Roll-Out Solar Array (IROSA) 2A Preparation EVA.
