Ms. Shannah Withrow-Maser from the Ames Aeromechanics Office has been selected for the 2021 AIAA San Francisco Section Young Professional of the Year Award.  The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) recognized her contributions to future Mars rotorcraft vehicle designs and science missions and her assessments of passenger-carrying electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.  Ms. Withrow-Maser joined NASA in 2018 through the NASA Pathways Internship Program after graduating from the Missouri University of Science and Technology with a master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering.  She has established herself as a mentor for university interns in the NASA Aeromechanics Internship Program (AIP) and she serves as the Co-Chair of the newly-formed NASA Ames Early Career Advisory Group.  Her leadership of the JPL/ARC Mars Science Helicopter Project is featured in the 2021 edition of Techbytes, published at https://www3.nasa.gov/sites/default/files/atoms/files/techbytesjune17.pdf
