S78-34037 (31 July 1978) --- Astronaut Jack R. Lousma, geared with a parachute, is pulled along behind a boat in Gulf waters at Homestead Air Force Base in Florida during a water survival training course attended by several NASA astronauts. The overall course is designed to familiarize astronauts with proper procedures to take in the event of ejection from an aircraft over water.
