CSBF uses its technology, resources and knowledge for conducting research and development to meet the future scientific ballooning requirements and perform scientific balloon launches.

From the experiment design phase to the recovery of a balloon, CSBF and its various collaborators are involved in a scientific group’s balloon operations. To meet the requirements of the scientific community and its various groups, CSBF provides expertise, technology and manufacturing resources to develop a groups’ research, experimental design and final payload product to be launched. After CSBF assists in the design of the physical payload, they perform balloon launches, terminations and recoveries all over the world.
