NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine will make his first official visit to the agency’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland on Wednesday, Sept. 19, to meet with employees and tour the center.
Glenn will host a media availability with Bridenstine at 9:20 a.m. EDT at the Electric Propulsion Laboratory, where NASA tests high-power solar electric propulsion systems for space exploration near the Moon and beyond, including Mars.
After remarks from the administrator, media will have an opportunity to ask questions. Media interested in attending should contact Jan Wittry at 216-870-0348 or jan.m.wittry-1@nasa.gov no later than 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18.
While visiting Glenn, Bridenstine will talk to the center workforce and tour facilities, including the Propulsion Systems Laboratory and Abe Silverstein Supersonic Wind Tunnel at Lewis Field in Cleveland, and NASA’s Plum Brook Station in Sandusky, Ohio.
Bridenstine was sworn in as NASA’s 13th administrator on April 23. For more information, visit:
