Environmental Scan and FY25 Rapid Research Study

NASA STEM Engagement conducted the study to assess aerospace industry needs and better understand existing career pathways. This two-pronged research effort included a systematic, critical review of 27 existing, publicly accessible relevant sources and a program scan of 62 national, regional, and state programs.

FY25 Internship Program Evaluation

NASA STEM Engagement engages in continuous performance assessment and evaluation of the internship program to understand experiences of NASA OSTEM interns as well as alumni of the internship program one year after completion.

Internship Process Evaluation

NASA STEM Engagement engages in continuous performance assessment and evaluation of the internship program to develop knowledge of the internship application process, identify process strengths and challenges, and understand the characteristics of applicants and interns.

K-12 Student Outcome Assessment

NASA STEM Engagement conducts investigations to understand how NASA’s K-12 activities and resources are working to inspire K-12 students to engage in STEM activities, research, and careers and how projects can better meet educator needs.

CONNECTS Evaluation

NASA STEM Engagement engaged in an evaluation of NASA’s Connecting Our NASA Network of Educators for Collaborating Together in STEM (CONNECTS) to understand the reach of and collaboration within this online educator community of practice, relevance of content, efficiency of using the platform to find resources, and practices to support sustainability.

MUREP Outcome Assessment

NASA STEM Engagement engages in continuous performance assessment and evaluation of the Minority University Research and Education Project (MUREP) to understand the outcomes the MUREP activities are achieving.

Learning Agenda Report Brief

In support of the Evidence Act and related guidance from the Office of Management and Budget, this report brief presents the NASA Office of STEM Engagement (OSTEM) Learning Agenda for FY 2019–FY 2021, which aligns with and serves as amplification to the Agency’s strategic plan and learning agenda.

Internships Outcome Assessment

NASA STEM Engagement engages in continuous performance assessment and evaluation of the internship program through annual investigations conducted to understand the impact on participants’ knowledge, skills, interest, and readiness for the STEM workforce.

Institutional Research Capacity Study

NASA STEM Engagement has engaged in an evaluation of projects (e.g., Space Grant, EPSCoR, and MUREP) to define institutional research capacity and identify avenues of growth.
