NASA, SpaceX Proceed Toward Crew-13 Launch

NASA, SpaceX, and international partners polled “go” to continue preparing for the agency’s Crew‑13 launch to the International Space Station following today’s Flight Readiness Review at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

The Crew-13 mission remains targeted to launch no earlier than 11:10 a.m. EDT Thursday, Oct. 1, aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

The Flight Readiness Review is an in-depth assessment of SpaceX’s transportation system, mission operations, support functions, and readiness of the International Space Station to support the incoming crew.

NASA astronauts Jessica Watkins, commander, and Luke Delaney, pilot, along with mission specialists CSA (Canadian Space Agency) astronaut Joshua Kutryk and Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Teteryatnikov are scheduled to arrive at NASA Kennedy tomorrow to continue mission preparations from Astronaut Crew Quarters. The crew’s arrival will stream live on NASA Kennedy’s YouTube channel.
