NASA Awards Contract for Safety, Health, Mission Assurance Services

NASA has awarded a contract to Leidos, Incorporated in Reston, Virginia, for safety, health and mission assurance services at its Glenn Research Center in Cleveland.

Safety, Health, and Mission Assurance (SHeMA-2) is a cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ), contract that begins March 13 with a 45-day phase-in period followed by a 17-month base period, a 24-month option and a 19-month option. The total potential value of this contract is $35.3 million.

The contractor will provide support services for Operational Safety, Occupational Health, and Mission Assurance and management support for Aeronautics/Space Flight Systems and Ground Support Equipment programs at Glenn in support of the Safety and Mission Assurance Directorate. These services will support all institutional facilities and the mission assurance aspects of space flight and aeronautics activities at Lewis Field in Cleveland and Plum Brook Station in Sandusky, Ohio; IDIQ task orders may be made agencywide.
