Our qualification motor-1 infographic explains everything you need to know about the 5-segment solid rocket motor designed for the Space Launch System. Conceived as full-duration, static test, QM-1 will support the qualification of the booster to operate in high temperature launch conditions. The test will occur March 11, 2015 from Orbital ATK in Promontory, Utah and will be broadcast live on NASA TV.
