NASA Aero Fair

Aero Fair is a unique STEM engagement activity designed to connect and engage underrepresented and underserved students to spark an interest in aeronautics, enhance STEM literacy, and introduce the local NASA center.

The program is comprised of three, one-hour sessions taught over the course of a week, by NASA Aeronautics experts and volunteers. The curriculum focuses on real-world NASA Aeronautics projects, teaches basic science principles, and corelates to Next Generation Science Standards. The program is available to be facilitated either in the classroom or virtually. Please note that there is some flexibility in the format and our STEM Engagement Specialist will work with the educator to discuss logistical details.

Topics Include:

  • History of NASA Center
  • Four Forces of Flight
  • Newton’s Laws of Motion
  • Bernoulli’s Principle
  • Flight Variables
  • Mars Design Challenge
  • Let’s talk STEM!

Registration:

Classes are implemented during Pacific Standard Time and are available to middle grade teachers across California and Virginia. Click on the links below to submit the initial interest form and our Aero Fair will follow-up with additional details and discussion around specific dates and times. We understand that schedules vary each day and will adapt to fit the needs of the school. If there is interest from a school in another state, please send an email to  arc-aero-fair@mail.nasa.gov and the Aero Fair Team will connect directly to discuss.
