Interagency Agreements

Erin Ortiz currently administers the portfolio of Interagency Agreements that allows for Government-wide participation on NASA’s Center of Excellence for Collaborative Innovation (CoECI) contracts.

Ms. Ortiz started her career at Harvard Medical School in the Department of Comparative Medicine, then in the HMS Office for Research Subject Protection, where she developed the Post-Approval Monitoring program for pre-clinical studies. She next worked for Pfizer, Inc. in Kendall Square (Cambridge, MA), where she authored the new site’s Comparative Medicine Program Description as part of a successful accreditation process. Ms. Ortiz then moved to the Galveston area, where she worked at the University of Texas Medical Branch for the Provost Office in Faculty Affairs and Professional Development. Ms. Ortiz joined NASA/KBR in 2019. Ms. Ortiz has extensive experience in research compliance, protocol review, and grant review.

Ms. Ortiz received her B.A. in Psychology from Franklin & Marshall College. She is also certified as a Professional Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee Administrator (CPIA).
