Senior Advisor to the Chief Financial Officer

David Doss currently serves as the Senior Advisor to the Chief Financial Officer, where he provides high-level executive guidance and strategic support on mission-critical issues, initiatives, and organizational functions. In this role, he partners closely with senior agency officials to assess and shape current and future policies, programs, and initiatives that advance the priorities of both the Chief Financial Officer and the Administration.

A seasoned strategist and change leader, David Doss has a strong record of leading strategic business development initiatives and turning around underperforming units. He has coordinated closely with corporate, legislative, and government decision-makers to launch projects and execute operations that align with organizational missions and profitability goals. His ability to negotiate complex issues and solicit public and private sector support has consistently delivered measurable results.

Prior to his current role, Doss worked at NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility at Syncom Space Services, overseeing economic development efforts as part of the multi-million-dollar Amentum/BWXT contract. He also served on staff in both the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives, where he was deeply involved in the legislative process, contributing to policy development and constituent services.

He holds a CLED economic development certification and was appointed by Governor Jeff Landry to serve as a Member of the Louisiana Board of Commerce and Industry. Additionally, he is licensed in both real estate and insurance. He is a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Education from Southeastern Louisiana University.
