Chris Caldwell
Division Business Manager
Chris Caldwell is the Division Business Manager of the Planetary Science Projects Division (PSPD – Code 430), a part of the Flight Projects Directorate at Goddard Space Flight Center.
Chris followed in the footsteps of his father and uncle who worked at GSFC for many years in Programmatic/Financial jobs which sparked his interest in the business aspect of how we get to Space.
Chris earned a Bachelors Degree from University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) in Economics. While in college, he interned at GSFC from 2007-2009. Then began working at GSFC full time in 2009 on the Tracking and Data Relay (TDRS) project as a Resources Analyst. In the following years, he worked numerous Projects and Instruments that provided me the experiences leading up to my current role. His prior projects & instruments include the International X-ray Astronomy Mission, Hitomi (ASTRO-H), Thermal Infrared Sensor 2 (TIRS-2), Gravity and Extreme Magnetism Small Explorer (GEMS), Ionospheric Connection Explorer (ICON).
Peeking into personal life, Chris is a husband, a father, and a certified sports nut who fuels his sports hobby by being a part of two GSFC leagues: Golf & Softball. Outside the gate, he has recently become addicted to Pickleball.
