Bill Spetch is presently serving as the International Space Station Program Operations Integration Manager. In this role, he is responsible for the overall management and integration of International Space Station Program operational elements, with the primary focus on supporting the performance of real-time and near real-time missions. As chair of the International Space Station Mission Management Team, Spetch is responsible for all aspects of the execution of on-orbit program activities for the integrated space station, including final authority for decisions that exceed the authority of the Mission Control flight control teams. He reports to the International Space Station Program Manager.

Spetch brings more than 27 years of experience supporting the space station throughout his career. He most recently served as the International Space Station program’s vehicle office manager responsible for the health and integrity of the space station, including sustaining, sparing, and integrating commercial elements onto station and providing real-time engineering support.

Prior to his assignment as vehicle office manager, he served as the International Space Station program’s transportation integration office manager, responsible for space station integration and verification for all visiting vehicles including commercial cargo resupply, commercial crew, and international partners.

Spetch also held roles acting as space station mission integration and operations manager, space station transportation integration office deputy manager, and station Vehicle Integrated Performance Environments and Resources team manager. He was appointed International Space Station Program Operations Integration Manager on June 2, 2024. Spetch holds a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering and mechanics from the University of Minnesota Minneapolis.
