Aaron Fournier is a mission manager with NASA’s Launch Services Program (LSP) at John F. Kennedy Space Center in Florida. He leads the mission integration team overseeing commercial launch service for science and robotic missions for LSP from initial concept studies to through launch. He leads the Mission Integration Team across multiple organizations in the management of schedules, budget/contract performance, and technical integration of the launch service.
Experience
Fournier currently serves as the LSP mission manager for NASA’s MUSE (Multi-slit Solar Explorer) astrophysics mission and the Co-Manifested Vehicle (CMV) which consists of Gateway’s Habitation and Logistics Outpost (HALO) and Power and Propulsion Element (PPE).
From 2020 to 2025, Fournier was a Mission Integration Engineer supporting LSP missions across flight design and integration disciplines.
Fournier began his NASA career in 2008 as a Launch Vehicle Ordnance Systems Engineer. Prior to NASA, he worked as an Electronic Braking Systems Test Engineer at Continental Automotive and as a Maintenance Coordinator at General Motors.
Awards
Fournier earned NASA group achievement awards with the OSIRIS-REx Mission Integration Team and the Commercial Crew Program United Launch Alliance (ULA) Technical Discipline Team. He received Silver Group Achievement recognition with the Parker Solar Probe team and the Venture Class Launch Services (VCLS) Demo-2 Acquisition Team.
Education
Fournier earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University in East Lansing in 2003 and a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Central Florida in Orlando in 2013.
Personal
Fournier lives in Merritt Island, Florida, with his wife Melissa, daughter Hailey, and sons Matthew and William. He grew up in Clio, Michigan, and enjoys running, camping, traveling, and tinkering around the house.
