Fairmont, WV – Engineers from the Japanese Space Agency will participate in annual IV&V Workshop this week.
The NASA IV&V Program is hosting its Annual Workshop on Validation and Verification Wednesday, September 15 through Friday, September 17, 2010. Engineers and scientists from across NASA and private industry have been invited to participate in discussions with the goal of generating solutions to discovered challenges. The workshop has drawn participation not only from national experts, but international experts as well. This year the Japanese Space Agency have sent representatives to attend the workshop. The workshop will take place at the Center for Scientific Research in the I-79 Technology Park.
Specific topics slated for discussion at the workshop: Intelligent software systems and techniques; intelligent fault handling and intelligent environment control to sustain life; spacecraft attitude control and software analysis strategies; SWARM Technologies and adaptive systems in general: what are they? What are the significant differences from typical software systems? What are the challenges in providing assurance?
NASA IV&V provides for the assurance of the correctness and safety of software for all of NASA’s critical missions, manned and unmanned.
