The 20-Foot Chamber is a human-rated, 3-story, 20-foot diameter hypobaric chamber used in a wide variety of government, industry, and academic-related research activities.

Attached to the Main Chamber is a large Man Lock and smaller Transfer Lock, both capable of transferring material to or from the Main Chamber, with the Man Lock allowing the transfer of humans or large equipment.

The Observer Lock serves as a staging area for humans or equipment being brought in or transferred out of the Main Chamber via the Man Lock and also serves as the location for rescue personnel to monitor test activities.

The 2nd Floor Platform allows certain test articles and test support equipment to be located in close proximity to the chamber and tied into test activities.

A dedicated Control Room is used to direct and monitor test activities per existing processes by a certified test team for both human and non-human testing.
