NASA’s mobile launcher that will help launch the agency’s new Space Launch System rocket is gearing up for Exploration Mission-1. The last of the mobile launcher’s large umbilicals, a Tail Service Mast Umbilical, was installed recently, putting the agency one step closer to the inaugural launch of SLS and Orion. This TSMU will provide liquid hydrogen and electrical connections to the rocket before launch. The next mobile launcher milestone for Exploration Ground Systems is to test it at Launch Pad 39B and in the Vehicle Assembly Building. Photo credit: NASA/Cory Huston
