Glover operates Fiber Optic Production experiment in MSG

iss064e013876 (Dec. 18, 2020) --- NASA astronaut Victor Glover performs a sample exchange in the Microgravity Science Glovebox (MSG) as part of the Fiber Optic Production. This investigation produced fiber optic cable in microgravity from a blend of elements called ZBLAN, which offers high bandwidth and ultra-low loss data transmission for telecommunications. Optical fibers produced in microgravity exhibit superior qualities to those produced on Earth.
