Anderson operates hardware in MSG to study properties of smoke

ISS015-E-27411 (Sept. 8, 2007) --- Retired NASA astronaut Clay Anderson works on the Smoke and Aerosol Measurement Experiment (SAME) investigation in the Microgravity Science Glovebox (MSG) aboard the International Space Station. SAME measured smoke properties, or particle size distribution, of typical particles that are produced from different materials found aboard station. The data from SAME was used to help predict smoke droplet growth.
